Ann Turkel
The actress, who was a former cover girl lives with her family in Beverly Hills with her dogs Samantha and Olivia (above left). The couple was married only 8 years before they were divorced for twenty years. Ann Turkel is still struggling to come to terms with her divorce from husband, Richard Harris. Turkel was born into a Jewish family, and was raised through her maternal grandmother in Manhattan. When she reached she was 16 she had studied under Sanford Meisner and Philip Burton Both at the Neighborhood Playhouse as well as in the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Ann Turkel, who is well-known throughout the world for her achievements in television, film as well as business, has enjoyed a very interesting and diverse career. Ann was born and raised within Manhattan. Her passion for entertainment has never wavered. When she was in the 5th grade when she was in the fifth grade, she started dancing lessons. Ann, along with some of her high-school classmates created a school-based rock and roll ensemble. The band was based in Stockbridge, Massachusetts she also performed in the summer at the Berkshire Playhouse performing plays like The Pajama Game and West Side Story. Ann's show with her band in fashion events was when Gloria Schiff, editor of Vogue Magazine, discovered Ann. Diana Vreeland, the editor in chief at Vogue Magazine, requested that Ann photograph her first Vogue magazine cover within a few days. Ann was soon one of the top models across the country, appearing on the covers of some of the most popular magazines for fashion. This include Vogue Bazaar as well Cosmopolitan. Ann began her modeling career for Max Factor Revlon in Europe as well as Japan in the fashion houses of Max Factor Revlon as well as Chanel after two consecutive years of successful modeling.
